On Saturdays from 9-2 in West Brattleboro and Wednesdays from 10-2 downtown. The market offers local vendors selling produce, handmade crafts, jewelry, baked goods and ethnic foods along with live music. www.brattleborofarmersmarket.com Living Memorial Park-The park offers a fun playground, a large outdoor community pool in the summer and a skating rink, a ski lift and sledding in the winter as well as softball fields and other open park space. Brattleboro Rec Department-The Brattleboro Rec maintains the local parks as well as offering numerous programs for kids and seniors. They sponsor all sorts of programs from youth soccer to gymnastics to lacrosse as well as offering an open gym downtown. www.brattleboro.org Canoe and Kayak Rental- Explore the scenic West River, Retreat Meadows or Connecticut River by Canoe or Kayak! Mount Wantastiquet-The big mountain just across the river in Hinsdale, NH and behind downtown Brattleboro. It is a great hike.

They serve great coffee along with soups, salads and sandwiches. Amys Bakery Arts Cafe- Located on Main St. This cafe offers excellent baked goods and lite fare as well as espresso drinks. With a seating area in the back overlooking the river. TJ Buckleys-Upscale and intimate, a great choice for a special occasion. Some would call this the best restaurant in Brattleboro and with good reason. Located near our office on Elliot St. in an old railroad car. With a simple and understated exterior, the cuisine in this chef owned establishment never fails to impress. Peter Havens- Another upscale choice located slightly further down Elliot St. toward Main st. This restaurant offers excellent cuisine in an ellegant atmosphere. Surrounding Area: Northampton, MA- about 40 minutes south on I-91. A fun college town, home to Smith College with Amherst College, UMASS Amherst, Hampshire College and Mount Holyoke College within a few miles. A lively Vermont village full of outlet shopping. www.manchestervermont.net or www.manchesterdesigneroutlets.com Wilmington, VT, Dover, VT and Mount Snow- About 25 minutes west on Route 9. Ludlow, VT and Okemo Mountain- About 45 minutes Northwest on I-91, Route 5 and Route 103. Okemo mountain offers some of the best skiing and riding in the local area. www.okemo.com.
